Most of the things that catch us off guard, cannot be planned for, but you can be prepared nonetheless. And how? By being filled with the Spirit at all times, realizing that in Him we live and move and have our being, knowing that He will never leave us or forsake us, and that He will equip us for every good work. All you can do, is keep your lamp trimmed, full of oil, and ready. . . to be of service to the bridegroom when He calls.

P31 Post 34: Burning The Candle At Both Ends

Being a Proverbs 31 Woman is not about being busy. Yes, there are seasons that the only word that can describe you is busy, but then, more than ever, you need at least a few quiet moments during the day when you tend your lamp, and renew your supply of the oil of joy and gladness (Isaiah 61:3, Psalm 45?7) Do not let your candle go out. Be a light that burns brightly, drawing others to the Light of the World. Be a source of solace and comfort, a representative of the Spirit of God at work in the life of a woman who shows forth His light and love.
