Is it Saturday yet? We’ve been using our Saturdays as a chance to tend our grapevine, the metaphorical description of the intimate love that we share with our husband. Check out some of the earlier posts by clicking on the Saturday Grapevine category.

But, you don’t have to wait for Saturdays! If it is a LONG week, then be sure to make time to enter the vineyard and stroll among the vines — often. Stop and enjoy the different varieties of tart and sweet fruit that are vibrant and tangy — releasing a burst of excitement to your weary taste buds.

Steal time from something else to do the important and essential work of examining your vines. Lie down and recline under the vines, stretch out and relax while you look up and make sure that the leaves are healthy, no sign of secretly silent invaders that try to sap your life and vitality. While you are lying under the shade of the vines, take a moment to close your eyes and breathe deeply of the fresh air, the aroma of peace that surrounds you, the cool refreshing shadow of the canopy of leaves, rustling in the breeze, opening up to allow the heat and radiance of the sun to warm your skin. Enjoy the comfort of camaraderie.

Enjoy the privacy and seclusion of your vineyard. Breathe deeply of the moment of peace and beauty of the brief respite. Let the language of love be spoken tenderly and freely. You need your vineyard. You need your vineyard to be all that you imagine it to be. Your vineyard has many different aspects. It is productive, it is a working farm, it is vibrant, it is vigorous, it is humming and buzzing with activity. . says he.

But in the early morning hours, while the sun is just a hopeful possibility of potentially pink, or in the late afternoon, while the magenta memories of the day are spreading like a satin sheet across the horizon, or the moonlit moments of mounds of secluded and daring mysterious midnight meetings — that is when your vineyard is a private and romantic retreat from the busy day.

Oh yes, get away to your vineyard soon, reserve it for a private party, for your very own needs, a selfishly sublime moment where your desires are utmost, and you set the table with your favorite delicacies, and invite your lover to partake¬† — on your terms! You deserve it — and he agrees — and will thank you for the invitation!

So go prepare your menu with all your favorites!
