As we near 2012, I want to remind you of the power of the prayers of a wife for her husband.

Your prayers are like diesel.

Alone, diesel is just a bland liquid.

But, when it is used to fuel a powerful diesel engine like a large cubic inch, turbo charged inter-cooled, low RPM, high torque efficient engine, it takes on the power of the engine.  Varoom!

Alone, left in the can, diesel is valuable, yet useless.

Powering the engine, diesel fuel takes on the power of all that potential.

A diesel engine can power a dirt mover. It can haul cargo across the continent. It can push a barge up the Mississippi. It can lead a string of railroad cars across the Rockies.

The potential power is amazing. It can build cities. It can accomplish great things.

Have you ever considered that you are like diesel to your husband’s engine?

He is strong and powerful. He is able to accomplish great things. When you encourage him with your love and motivate him with your prayers, great things are possible.

Stop trying to move the earth by the power of your own effort! Sure it is possible. . . but why bother?

Use the tools at your disposal. Your husband is built to be strong, and to take delight in working hard. Let him! You be the force that gives him the desire to keep working. He has the power to transport your family to a good place. He has the power to lead you through stormy waters and rocky terrain. He has the motivation and the desire to move mountains, in the strength of the Lord.

So, dear wife, your job is to pray for your husband, that God would move upon his spirit, to draw him to a place spiritually where BIG things can happen. It is a mystery, but the prayers of a godly wife on behalf of her husband, powered by the tremendous atomic force of the mysterious combustion of submission, moves God toward her husband, in a spiritual meeting of tremendous proportions.

Are you facing a mountain in your life? Your prayers to God on behalf of your husband is the beginning of moving that mountain. Don’t get your cute little hand shovel and try to move that mountain all by yourself. Get on your knees and ask God for a dynamically powered, spiritually empowered husband to move it for you! And you stand back and cheer him on, praying that God’s will be accomplished on earth as it is in Heaven. Wipe his brow, bring him a cool drink of water, motivate him from the sidelines as THIS MOUNTAIN SHALL BE REMOVED and cast into the sea!

“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. . . by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:21, 22b

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Matthew 21:21-22

“For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:23-24

If your husband is unsaved or spiritually hardened, don’t lose heart or despair. Your prayers are the magnetism that will draw him to God. You keep praying. You keep believing. It is a big mountain, but that makes the victory so much sweeter when you see it leveled! This mountain shall be removed.

I’m praying for you, as you pray for your husband,
