On this day when we change the calendar, and start writing a new sequence of numerals to signify a new time, take a moment to get a proper perspective of time.
Don’t worry about your plans for the new year, writing marks on a grid that explains the movement of the sun. Forget about managing your time, harnessing your time, saving time, wasting time, and counting time. Determine to steal as many moments away from TIME as you can. Get lost in the moment with the I AM!
The earth keeps spinning, the globe keeps orbiting, the sun keeps coming around in the east, and the moon keeps waxing and waning. Don’t just react to the balancing act. Don’t be ruled by the clock, by the calendar, by the rising and setting of that orange thing in the sky. Don’t mistake the dizzying rush of motion for living.
The only true life is found in the moments when TIME stops, and you find yourself in the presence of I AM. That’s living!
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised. Psalms 113:3
But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hands. . . Psalms 31:15
I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. Psalms 34:1
Continually. Constantly. Presently. Eternally momentarily. . . ad infinitum.
It’s time for I AM.
