Today’s Marriage Tip: Confront each challenge with joy, knowing it brings wisdom.

Well, actually, the joyful completion of a challenge brings perseverance, which ends in maturity — or experienceExperience, for the wise, brings good fruit. . . wisdom.  For the foolish, experience just brings — results. . . consequences.

Life is hard, and there will be difficulties.  You can look at each obstacle as a miserable roadblock placed purposely in your path just to pervert your purpose.  Or, you can look at each boulder as a chance to build your muscles, to hone your skill, to prepare you for the mountain climbing experience.

Enjoy the view from the top!

There is great joy in successfully climbing the mountaintop!  The view is amazing!  Only the strong can endure the ascent.  Each difficulty, each challenge is preparing you for glorious views and experiences!

Don’t fight the training.  Embrace it and utilize it.  It is making you strong for a purpose.  Don’t thwart it!

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trails of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”  James 1:2-4

Have a great mountain-climbing journey today!

  1. Are you climbing a difficult mountain? Consider it an exercise regime, and make a list of how you are going to approach this like training for a 5k.
  2. Are you out of shape? Begin to use your metaphorical muscles in this trial. They’ll be sore at first, but soon you’ll be in top condition.
  3. Are you sore from the effort? Just like you soak tired muscles, keep hydrated, and have an exercise partner — use those same tactics on this particular mountain-climbing experience. Make a list of smart tactics you can employ to make this training regimen more successful!
