A Way to Help the Students of Moore, OK one year after the tornado.
Today marks the one year anniversary of the deadly tornado that went through Moore, OK, killing twenty-four and changing lives with the destruction of an invisible power–the wind.
Something that is unseen has the power to change us for better or worse.
Winds of depression, doubt, anger, and hatred have the power to wreak havoc in our lives for years. Unforgiveness is one of the most powerful and destructive forces, having the power to change the course of our life, and leaving debris that takes decades to remove as we deal with undeserved pain from the actions of others.
I’m so thankful that there is a force that is more powerful than any negative act or emotion that can tear apart and destroy, and it is in the redemptive, restoring, resurrecting power of the love of God. May you know this power, too.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? Neither height or depth nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35 & 39
