Saying “no” to ourselves is sometimes very hard to do. I can be pretty good at convincing myself to give in to things I would like to have or eat, but probably shouldn’t (I’m looking at you, delicious candy). After all, I know all my weak spots and how I can be most effectively swayed.
On the other hand, sometimes I am great at telling myself “no” when I really ought to be saying “yes”. Like when I say no thank you to exercise, or kale, for example.
I may have some things a little mixed up.
Today’s prayer asks our heavenly Father for the wisdom to know just what we need to be the healthiest us we can be. Maybe we need to add exercise to our schedule, change up our diet, or take time to rest. Whatever it is, our Father knows – and wants – what is best for us, and He will give us wisdom when we ask for it.
And always we can be thankful that He gives us what we really need – His unconditional love!
