heartsplan

I don’t know about you, but I can be pretty good at making some plans.

A portion of these plans are just dreams, conceived by and tucked away in my romantic little heart, all tied up with pretty little bows.

Most of my plans are practical. I plan out what’s for supper, and what I’ll buy at the store.  I devise an order in which to run my errands and figure out how I can drive around town getting where I need to go with as little cutting across traffic as possible.  I make plans for getting my chores done and come up with Honey-Do ideas for Robert.  I make school plans, and vacation plans, and special occasion plans.

I’d probably make all my kids’ future plans, too, if they’d let me. 🙂

Recently, I filled a couple of pages in my journal with questions.  The central theme of those questions was this:  What is God’s plan for me?  If I am letting God do the planning of my life, what does that look like?

I love this verse in Proverbs 16:9 –

“A man’s heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps.”

I can plan All. The. Things. but God’s authority and agenda supersede mine.  This is an excellent promise! If my desire is to be on God’s path for my life, I can be assured He WILL direct the way I go.  And I believe that even if I veer off course, He can right my steps if I seek Him and yield to His leading.

Sister, is this where you are today, too?  Do you have plans to make?  Are you searching for answers to big or little questions in your life?  If so, I just want you to know:  I am praying for you!
